We built the battery we wished existed: one that charges like your phone, hits full 1.5 volts like the alkalines you grew up with, and doesn't end up in a landfill every few weeks.
Voyager AAA charges over USB-C, so it works just like your other USB-powered devices. Inside, an improved voltage profile means the power holds steady and mimics true alkaline discharge. Each battery is rated for 1,000+ recharge cycles, replacing disposable batteries over its life, at a fraction of the long-term cost.
Join our mission to "End Single-Use". Fewer batteries in the bin, less money spent replacing them, and power that doesn't give up.

Voyager Series batteries are designed to work in the same devices as standard single-use alkaline batteries. Thanks to their 1.5V output and improved voltage profile, they're built to work similarly to alkaline, so devices that expect standard battery performance can run on Voyager.
This is an improvement over many older-style rechargeables, which often output a lower voltage and can cause certain electronics, like some digital cameras, precision instruments, or devices with strict power requirements, to run poorly or not at all.
If you've had a frustrating experience with rechargeables in the past not working right, or draining fast in higher-drain devices, Voyager was built to solve exactly that problem.
As with any battery, we always recommend checking your device's manual for its specific battery requirements if you're ever unsure.
Voyager Voltage
Voyager Series batteries use a new discharge curve engineered to balance high output voltage with extended runtime.
Rather than the flat, sudden drop-off typical of lithium rechargeables, Voyager works like an alkaline discharge profile: voltage gradually softens as capacity depletes, with a final drop at the very end to reliably trigger low-battery warnings on devices like keyless door locks.
Most rechargeable lithium batteries hold a flat voltage right up until they die, then drop off a cliff with no warning. That's why low battery alerts often don't work with standard rechargeables, and devices like keyless locks or smoke detectors can shut off without notice.
Voyager Series is engineered to discharge more like a traditional alkaline battery: voltage gradually decreases as capacity is used, so your devices get an accurate low-battery signal before they stop working, not after.

FAQ: Rechargeable AAA Batteries
-
The AAA form factor is one of the more common for consumer electronics. Typical household battery uses include TV and audio system remotes, tea lights, headlamps, and RC cars, planes, and drones. Wireless mics and industrial electronics are examples of commercial uses and our rechargeable batteries are able to power each unit to their maximum working potential.

A single charge of Paleblue AAA rechargeable batteries can last just as long as alkaline batteries when powering devices. But because our batteries can be charged 1000+ times, total battery life can extend for years (depending on usage); this helps to make our batteries the most sustainable option.
